Welcome to 1st Home Improvement (“1st Home Improvement,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, online forms, and related services (collectively, the “Site” and “Services”). Any pricing provided through the Site, by phone, text, or email is an estimate only and may change based on on-site inspection, measurements, materials, project complexity, permit requirements, or other job conditions.
Estimates are not a guarantee of final pricing unless expressly confirmed in writing by 1st Home Improvement.

Service Area

Our Services may be limited to certain geographic areas. We may decline requests outside our service area.

2) Scheduling, Site Access, and Customer Responsibilities

Scheduling

Appointments, consultations, inspections, project start dates, and service windows are subject to availability.
We may reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, subcontractor availability, supply chain delays, permit timing, or other operational constraints.

Site Access

You are responsible for providing safe, lawful, and reasonable access to the property and work area during scheduled times.
If access is not available or conditions are unsafe, we may reschedule and may charge a trip fee where permitted by law and disclosed in advance.

Customer Preparation and Disclosures

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate project details and property information
  • Remove or protect valuables and fragile items near work areas
  • Secure pets and ensure necessary access (doors, gates, garages, utility areas)
  • Disclose known hazards or conditions that may affect work (electrical, plumbing, structural issues, asbestos, mold, lead paint, code violations, hidden damage, etc.)
  • Obtain any third-party approvals (e.g., HOA, landlord, building management) unless otherwise agreed in writing

Delays caused by undisclosed conditions may result in additional charges or timeline adjustments.

3) Payments, Fees, and Taxes

Payment Terms

Payment terms are communicated in your estimate, proposal, invoice, or service agreement.
We may require deposits, milestone payments, or payment in full at completion depending on project type and scope.

Authorization for Charges

If you enroll in recurring billing or payment plans, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file according to agreed terms.

Late Payments

Overdue balances may incur late fees, interest, collection costs, and/or work stoppage where permitted by law and disclosed in advance.

Taxes

You are responsible for applicable sales, use, and similar taxes unless otherwise stated.

4) Cancellations, No-Shows, and Change Orders

Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule by contacting us at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment unless your written agreement states otherwise.
Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a fee where permitted by law and disclosed in advance.

Change Orders

Any change to scope, materials, specifications, or schedule may require a written change order and may affect price and completion timeline.

Special-Order Materials

Deposits or payments for special-order or custom materials may be non-refundable once ordered, subject to applicable law.

5) Service Limitations and No Guarantees

Project outcomes can be affected by conditions outside our control, including hidden structural issues, prior workmanship, weather, manufacturer delays, utility interruptions, and permit/inspection timelines.

Therefore:

  • We do not guarantee outcomes beyond what is expressly stated in writing
  • Estimated timelines are not guarantees unless expressly stated
  • Product and material warranties (if any) are generally provided by manufacturers, not by us, unless explicitly stated

6) Damage, Claims, and Limitation of Liability

We aim to perform Services professionally and safely. By using our Services, you acknowledge:

  • Normal wear, aging, and pre-existing conditions are not damage caused by us
  • We are not responsible for issues caused by hidden, latent, or undisclosed conditions

Claims

If you believe we caused damage, you must:

  1. Notify us within 7 days of service completion (or earlier when possible)
  2. Provide photos and a written description
  3. Provide reasonable access for inspection before third-party repairs are made (except emergencies)

We will review and, if appropriate, work toward a reasonable resolution.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 1st Home Improvement is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or loss of profits/revenue arising from the Site or Services.
If liability is found, our total liability will not exceed the amount paid to us for the specific Services giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

7) Website Use, Content, and Intellectual Property

All Site content, including text, graphics, logos, photos, videos, designs, and other materials, is owned by 1st Home Improvement or its licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
